Dany Aube

Quebec chanteuse Dany Aube (real name Rejeanne Aube), grew up in Lasarre, and released a handful of albums in the mid to late 1960s. This LP, 1968's La Fille Du Pacha, features a bunch of 60s-style pop numbers. There is a wide variety of songs on the album, so I'll offer two unique tracks to represent the extremes: romance and groovy rock.

Un Jour Viendra is a slower romantic number.
Du Rouge Sur Ta Chemise is super boppy...I'd expect to hear this on an old American Bandstand.

I can't find too much about Ms. Aube on the internet, but she was clearly quite popular, and also featured on a children's program (in this one clip, anyway). She vanished from the music scene for many years, but had one of her more popular songs featured in the great Canadian shoot-em-up film Bon Cop Bad Cop.
