The World/Canadiana Guitars were a session group put together by Arc Records, but I can't tell you much more than that because the liner notes don't identify any of the band members. There is a nice little description of the idea behind the ensemble;
"The name World/Canadiana Guitars was selected after much thought: "World" points to the source of the group's material and the scope of its listening audience, "Canadiana" describes both the group's approach to this material - simply, a Canadian approach, and the group itself - Canadian musicians performing arrangements scored by Canadians in Canada."
Well, aside from the source material I suppose it doesn't get much more Canadian than that. Jackson/Ode To Billie Joe/Detroit City was executive produced by Brian Ahern and Bill Gilliland (president of Arc and Yorkville Records), and consists of (mostly) instrumental covers of eleven pop, country and country-pop songs. The best two are the sultry "Ode To Billie Joe, a 1967 hit by Bobbie Gentry, and the raucous "Jackson," best-known for being covered by Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter.
