Joey Barnett, an unknown artist to this day, recorded and mixed this album at Kinck Sound, Inception Sound and Master's Workshop and was released by Ariel Records in Toronto in 1980. A collection of pop songs, Right From The Beginning has elements of rock and folk as well.

The back cover has lyrics for all the songs, which were written by T. Chipman, except for a couple of cuts by Barnett (Keep Searching and Heart Full Of Loving). My copy of the record came with a 7" single from another artist, along with a promo 7"x10" insert which reads:
