Doug McArthur - Letters From the Coast

Doug McArthur is a folk artist from the province of Ontario. This is Doug's first of eight albums over a 33 year span. Letters from the Coast was released in 1974 on Rutabaga Records Rut 001 with two different covers. Shown here is the second cover. Doug McArthur on guitar and vocals; Thomas E.D. Handy on guitar; Steve Hayes on piano; Bill Usher on percussion; Mike Gardner on bass; Mother Fletcher on sitar; Lia Hayes, Gord Lowe provide harmonies. The all original material: Dreams and Visions/ Hero/ Glory Road/ Lord Douglas/ The Painter's Song // I Do/ One-Eyed Walden/ Don't You Believe/ The Devil's Pony/ Skye Song. Engineering was by Jim Morgan at Captain Audio, Toronto, Ontario. All songs published by Skye Songs and Almo Music. Cover design by John Ivsins. Produced by Duck Glidepath for Rutabaga Record Corporation, 121 Ellerslie Avenue, Toronto.

Doug McArthur released:

 "Sisteron" on Poserity PTR 13003 in 1977; the comedy album "Change of Face (live)" on Posterity Woodshed PWS 015 in 1981; and he recorded a few cd's with Garnet Rogers and Jeffra. He recently released "Thunder Into Heaven on Patio Records in 2007.

Doug currently resides in Wakefield, Quebec.
