Ellison were an anglophone band from Montréal, Québec who released this self titled album; considered to be the finest blues psych rock album ever to be released out of Quebec. This album is extremely rare and fetches about $1,200.00 on the market, however some copies have sold for as much as USD$1575.00. The album was released in 1971 on Supreme SR 2900 and distributed on Trans-World. The album tracks are: Unchanged World/ Seal a Beam Bow/ Satanic/ Winter Slutch // Strawberry Rain/ Untruth Story/ Freedom. The band members were Vincent Marandola on vocals and guitar; Richard Arcand on bass; Robert Cager on drums; Christian Tremblay on guitars. Some additional vocals were provided by Marie-Claire and Richard Seguin on "Freedom". The album was recorded  at Quentin Meek (Studio 6). Photography was by Denis Niquette. Produced by Alexandre Dumas and Yves Hamel. The band formed in 1967 and were originally called "Jimmy Peace". The album was re-issued on CD on Gear Fab GF 145. A bootleg vinyl pressing also exists with a white label. Featured here are the tracks from side one.
